About This Place
This Silicon Valley bachelor furnished his whole place with stuff he found on Craigslist. We’re impressed by the fact that the style and palette is so consistent and intentional.
It just goes to show that you don’t have to spend a ton of money to furnish your place. As long as the items are consistent in style, no one will know you bargain shopped your entire place.
The black leather furniture is universally loved by men, and for good reason. It’s basically indestructible. We get it, but some fabric upholstery would be a nice change of pace.
This room could really use some color. A couple of pillows and a nice coffee table book or two would make the space look a whole lot more welcoming.
The chrome lamp brings your eye upward and provides some light for the seating area. Don’t neglect to add extra lighting with lamps in your home.
Good lighting is practical and ups the style quotient exponentially. If all you’ve got is the overhead lights that came with your place, it’s time to consider adding some additional lamps.
Kudos on the large print above the sofa. We love the oversized scale and how it’s a focal point when you walk in the room.
He’s got a wine bar tucked in the corner of the living room, too. A great idea because the kitchen is most definitely on the small side.
He added another large print to the other side of the room to balance it out. We like the total commitment to the black, white and red color palette.
The bar stools make the compact kitchen functional for dining and tie in with the living room furniture. We’re happy to see wooden cabinets breaking up all the black and white elements.
