About This Place
This Seattle apartment was the perfect rental for a Microsoft engineer who wanted plenty of natural light and, above all, an amazing cityscape view. Apparently his dog enjoys the view too.
The coffee table is such a unique piece and adds a modern touch to the room. A simple armless sofa is the perfect spot for man and his best friend to relax.
While the view is arguably the best feature in the room, a piece of art or two over the sofa would add some color and pattern to the space.
The cowhide rug is a nice touch and one we don’t see too often. The organic shape balances out the strong lines of the coffee table.

The television takes center stage on the wall opposite the sofa. A sleek media credenza holds all the components neatly behind closed doors. No one wants to see a jumble of wires in a living room.
Speaking of wires, he’s got the impressive Sonos wireless speaker perched on top of a cool cut wood table. Those things put out a ton of sound and because they’re wireless, you can tuck them away for maximum sound and minimum clutter.
We like the dual functionality he’s got going on with the desk/dining table. When guests come over, the office chair can be rolled out of the way while he’s entertaining.
A galley kitchen overlooks the living area. The view from the kitchen is amazing, and the galley layout allows for maximum views.
The small shelf is a clever drop spot for stashing keys and anything you might need to grab before heading out. And the custom print is a nice touch–we’re suckers for dogs.
Even though the kitchen is small, it’s incredibly efficient. We like the mix of gray and wood cabinets. A large pantry on the wall opposite from the sink holds all the kitchen basics. Extra storage is a must when dealing with a small kitchen.
The industrial faucet is a nice touch and goes well with the minimalistic look of the kitchen.

The bedroom has those amazing views, too. (And that cute dog.) There’s a simple wooden bed and nightstand to hold the essentials. A lamp would be a nice addition for late night reading.
The bathroom has a nice touch of color from the blue accent wall and rug. The shower curtain adds a rustic touch to the space.
Seriously with this view–it’s amazing. No wonder the dog likes gazing out the window. The night sky is even more stunning.
