About this Place

This LA studio is unique. It’s got way more color than most guys are comfortable with, but it doesn’t seem chaotic or unmanly. The throw pillows, the prints on the wall, the sweet video game themed coffee table–this place is filled with amazing little details.

Kitchen 1

shoe rack

The lack of a hall closet didn’t stop this guy from making a functional entryway. A large shoe rack, mirror, hook, and coat rack keep everything organized in style.

We like the addition of the unique end table to the edge of the kitchen counter. It helps divide the space up, plus, it’s just a really cool table.

Living room 1

The kitchen is small but stylish and still manages to have plenty of counter space thanks to the unusual room configuration. The simple maple cabinetry stands out against the dark counters.

Kitchen 2

This place lives large for a studio, and if we measured we bet the square footage is equal to a true one-bedroom apartment.

Whole view 1

He’s used the sofa as a divider between the living area and the bed, which really makes it feel like two separate rooms. The desk area even feels like it’s in different space, thanks to the smart layout.

Living room 5

Here’s a television gallery wall that we can all take some pointers from. He’s used two different frame finishes and similar looking prints to keep the gallery looking cohesive, but added a little twist with the bright atomic clock.

Living room 2

bookcase

He’s done a decent job of styling the bookcase, although it feels a little bottom heavy with all the books down there. We’d love to see him take a few of the books and arrange them on the top shelves to help the piece feel more balanced.

Living room 9

sofa | zig zag pillow | heart pillow | triangle pillow | sheepskin | coffee table

A display coffee table like this is a great choice for small spaces. You can still have all of your stuff, but keep your space looking clutter-free.

Office 1

desk | headphone stand

The small desk is tucked into the wall that divides the bed area from the bathroom. He’s wisely chosen a white desk that blends into the surrounding walls to keep things looking clean.

Bed area 5

bed | nightstands | grey lamp

Two nightstands flank the bed. Even though he doesn’t have a proper bed frame, that didn’t stop him from stylishly dressing his bed with patterned linens.

Bed area 1

A trio of graphic black and white prints hangs over the bed and adds more graphic interest to the space.

Balcony 1

He’s made an impressive effort with the outdoor space by adding some bamboo fencing for privacy and a colorful seating area.
