About this Place
This comfortable home has that lived-in look that comes from merging guy stuff with girl stuff. Yep, this guy’s girlfriend moved in. Cue the houseplants, pillows, and accessories.
A large sectional and matching ottoman provide enough seating for a small army, which is perfect since they have a substantial television.
The large front window and storm door let in tons of lights, perfect for the new houseplants his girlfriend added.
This is how the living room looks from the upstairs loft. A gray area rug anchors the large sectional.
Even though the television is clearly the star of the show, they’ve still arranged the furniture to take advantage of the fireplace with built-in shelving.
A simple shelf serves as a bar and also holds a record collection. The elephant is from a trip to India. Adding a small accessory to the bar warms it up and provides a personal touch.
The living room is open to the small eat-in kitchen. Bar stools are a nice touch when you have an open-concept space like this, but these are a bit short for the bar.
An office loft is above the kitchen and open to the living room below.
The kitchen has oak cabinets, granite counters, and a tumbled stone backsplash. The cabinet color is mirrored in the backsplash tile, which makes the kitchen finishes look cohesive.
The upstairs loft is used for playing video games and working. Two basic bookcases were added along with a rainbow triptych print of the world.
The couple plan on adding pins to the map for all the locations they’ve visited so far.
The couch and matching ottoman have seen better days, but they look plenty comfortable for marathon gaming sessions. A small media table holds all of the components but doesn’t eat up a ton of floor space.
